This UNESCO World Heritage Site reveals its ancient charm, showcasing well-preserved mudbrick architecture and rich cultural history.
After exploring the kasbah, we enjoy a leisurely lunch overlooking the Kasbah before continuing our road trip to Ouarzazate. Known as the “city of cinema in North Africa”, Ouarzazate welcomes us with the cinematic allure of the Atlas film studios and the historic Kasbah of Taourirt.
In the afternoon, our journey takes us through the lush landscapes of the Skoura Oasis. We stroll leisurely through palm groves and explore historic kasbahs like Amerhidl. The oasis offers a serene break before resuming our road trip towards the Dades gorges.
As evening approaches, we travel the roads leading to the Dades gorges. The changing colors of the landscape and spectacular rock formations greet us upon arrival. Continuing our journey, we pass through Tazarine and Nkob, each offering a glimpse of rural life and Morocco’s traditional Berber culture. The scenic drive unfolds as we pass through the Draa Valley, a lush expanse of palm groves and ancient kasbahs that runs alongside the Draa River.
The road takes us back to Ouarzazate. As we climb the High Atlas, the landscape changes again, offering stunning views of the mountainous terrain.
